On September 30, 2025, Imgur blocked users from the United Kingdom in response to a potential fine from the Information Commissioner's Office regarding its handling of children's personal data.^[1]

I don't particularly trust any company to handle my data. This host is open to the public and images will be held indefinitely provided they aren't spam, and are likely to remain available unless I get hit by a bus at some point.

All of the above said, I don't recommend you trust me with anything important either. There's no guarantee I won't do something malicious, shut down the host arbitrarily without warning, or get struck by lightning. I recommend using a service that is audited regularly if you insist on using one.
